Well, I`m here and I`m loving it! ❤️ You see my twenties were very challenging, I never quite felt settled, and they weren`t a bunch of fun like some people might say their experience was.
Only NOW do I feel relaxed in who I am, fitter and healthier than I`ve EVER been...fitter than my 18 year old self, confident, self aware and ready to do anything and everything my heart desires!
I train and play outside everyday, I move, I go on adventures, I love HARD and I put my heart and soul into everything I do!

Give this Mobility Drill for Jiujitsu & better Sports Performance a try! 🔥🔥🔥 Especially if you`re stiff or struggle to invert.
Your neck and shoulders will thank you. Just ensure you move slowly and get the technique right before rushing over to roll across the shoulder. Even if you only do one side at a time, so walk up to one shoulder and back down again.🤸♀️
Also, to avoid straining your neck focus on pushing and protracting the shoulder you`re balancing on into the ground and push away, so your neck does not take any unnecessary load.🤯

I have never been much of an urban dweller anyhow.😎 The ocean is calling my name baby! 😁

Lately, life has felt like the rug’s been pulled out from under me.😔❤️
I’ve been quieter than usual… not on the mats, not teaching, not moving in the ways I normally do. And the truth is, I’ve been going through something deeply uncomfortable and humbling—both physically and emotionally.🌀
Out of nowhere, my skin started flaring up in ways I’ve never experienced before. Painful, sensitive, reactive.
Skin was never something I struggled with—and then suddenly it became the source of so much discomfort, insecurity, and confusion.🤯
On top of that, I started developing recurring eye flare-ups and styes that made even simple things like seeing clearly or feeling comfortable in public feel overwhelming.😒
All of this forced me to step back—from jiu-jitsu, from teaching, from the spaces that usually light me up. And not by choice. My body made the call. It literally asked me to stop. To rest. To slow down. To pay attention.
And emotionally? It’s been rough.😔
I’m in a transition phase, preparing to move provinces, and that’s brought its own layer of uncertainty and disconnection. I’ve felt stuck in limbo—not fully in one place, not yet in another. It’s been lonely, frustrating, isolating, and at times, really sad.
Like the things that root me—my practice, my community, my sense of identity—have been temporarily stripped away.💦
I miss jiu-jitsu with all my heart.
I miss teaching. I miss my students. I miss the rhythm, the fire, the expression.
But underneath it all, I know this pause has a purpose.
It’s teaching me that healing isn’t passive—it’s powerful.✨️
That rest is not a weakness—it’s wisdom.
That our bodies are always speaking—and it’s up to us to listen before they have to scream.
So if you’re moving through something—seen or unseen—just know you’re not alone.❤️
Take care of your health. Respect your body’s need to rest. Soften, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Because that too, is part of the warrior path.⚔️🙏❤️

Just a little tip, something that I do...you don`t have to do it, but maybe consider it. 😉 👇
Movement is all about Adaptability. So this is just something I do in my training. I mix it up, I do different hanging leg raise variations, different core patterns, and different dynamic hangs or isometric holds - which for me has built a much stronger, durable core. 🔥
I`ve had to switch up my training routine, but this is nothing new to me. I`ve encountered injuries and setbacks before, so I know it`s about changing your mindset and focusing on what you can do. I can`t do inversions yet as it`s too much pressure on my eyes, but I can train my core and my legs. 🙏

The biggest lesson of all is learning Patience towards ourselves, our loved ones, our practice, our bodies, our struggles and life itself.
I`ve had to really dig deep this year, as the past couple of months have been so tough mentally and physically. Sometimes life throws challenges our way so we can really practice what we teach.
I often remind myself that there are times when the Warrior must be still, must be patient, must rest before the Warrior can fight again.
This season of my life has called for a major transition and Healing period and just like this slow, controlled transition - I must enter it with precision, pause and strength.
Honestly I have really battled with my health the past few months from burn out. But this is when it`s a good time to pause.
Today was the first time in a while I felt strong 💪 and I am truly so grateful that I can be patient with myself during this time of healing. 🙏❤️💫
Always take care of yourself, even when it`s hard to take a step back from what you`re used to doing everyday. ✨️

I could write an entirely scientific explanation as to what develops a strong mind, body connection. However, to keep it simple and based upon my own understanding is this...✨️
You need to spend time with your body.
You need to spend time moving with your body and exploring its anatomy, it`s limitations, strength and weaknesses.
You need to listen to its calls and learn to work with it and not against it.
Don`t be afraid of its calls or limitations. Be inspired, be excited and amped that you have the problem which means you can find a solution.
Spend your training days learning about your body, what works for it and what doesn`t. If you`re not training with your bodyweight, then I highly encourage you to Start.
Training with my bodyweight has taught me infinite amounts about my body and strengthens the relationship I have to it mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
It takes practice, but over time you`ll notice the difference.

I felt like sharing a little random burst of moments from the past few months, mainly because I haven`t shared much, yet I`ve done a lot lol and also because I haven`t felt my best lately. 😅
I finished last year on a high, but then this year started off a little weird for me. Although I live a very active, healthy life, stress and change have been prominent this year for many reasons.💕
Therefore, I`ve had some health issues as a result. It happens to the best of us and I`ve told myself it`s okay to slow down a little bit while I journey through this transition period. 🙏
We cannot always be superhuman, but we can practice self compassion and patience with ourselves while we figure it out. We can also be grateful for the good people and times we do have in our lives. ✨️
